Beginning from 13th January, in response to the project, The Terminal, the Something Human 3 day durational live art project that took place in London in late October 2013, and based upon her research and experiments into craigslist users and their stories, the artist will investigate key issues of the project such as non-space and transient identities.
With the help of Craigslist, I respond to listings posted by people who are looking for someone to talk to. While some conversations flourish, others fall through the email relay system and I never hear from them again. In Craigslist this is called a missed connection, where one (or maybe both) part(ies) hopes to get back in touch. This happens often, because the system, despite its design and rigid functionality, is prone to errors that seem more human than mechanical. In the non-space of the internet, anyone is free to try at anything.
