Yoko Ishiguro is a performance maker based in UK and Japan. She studied Psycholinguistics at the University of Tsukuba (Japan) and received her MA in Contemporary Performance Making at Brunel University London.
Her works are simple and playful site-specific or/and one-on-one performances or performative installations that explore the physical/mental distances between performers and audience. Ishiguro often problematises the urban and communicational conditions which determine the relationships of people –including the distant and beyond-time communications via media — in order to reflect on broader cultural and ontological considerations.
